At The Living Food Kitchen we believe that diet and nutrition are two of the most important steps to realising optimum health. But we also believe that just because something is good for you it doesn't mean its taste should be compromised. As such we take great pride in producing food that not only nourishes and sustains the body but also tastes delicious. We do this through carefully selecting the finest organic produce, both locally sourced and also imported from far flung corners of the world, while taking care not to use any wheat, refined cane sugar, dairy or eggs. That's right, The Living Food Kitchen is not only 100% raw but is also 100% vegan too!
IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT AGAVE SYRUP
Recently there has been a lot of negative exposure relating to agave syrup. Please rest assured that we take these allegations very seriously and are still conducting a review of the scientific position in relation to agave syrup. We source our organic agave syrup from Tree Harvest, who are a reputable UK wholesaler who source their ingredients with great care and attention. We are confident that it is the very best agave on the market. However we are also looking into using alternatives to agave as we are still not convinced that agave is the revolutionary health product that many have made it out to be. As such we have started using Rapadura evaporated cane juice sugar in some of our products. This is the most unrefined natural sugar on the planet. It is not strictly raw (nor is 99% of all agave for that matter) however it is not refined in any way. All they do is juice the sugar cane and evaporate off the water to leave a whole sugar. It also has a delicious caramel flavour. We are confident that while it may not be raw, it is the most natural sugar we can buy and as such we are comforatble using it.
